Anime: Gate of Memories is an third person fighting game with a lot of roleplaying game elements. It is based on a French tabletop RPG called Anima about which I don't have much knowledge more than that the art is full of inhumanly slender, long-limbed, and impossibly proportioned people and bizarre monsters and that the books are quite expensive.
I've been curious so I decided to pick this game up a while back to see if I could get some sense for the setting. However, it is a highly focused scenario and you don't get to build your own character. That gives a moderately limited idea of what is happening, but the character you are given made me think of a D&D warlock for obvious reasons. Eventually, I pondered that she seemed to most resemble a Hexblade who had taken the Pact of the Tome.

I'm going with a Faction Agent for background due to her associations with the Order of Nathanial and Variant Human for race.

Reasoning: For this build, Eldritch Blast is pretty much a natural choice. The Bearer casts about a lot of Energy Blasts. She didn't strike me as a very talkative or communicative person, so I didn't get any Charisma skills, though I may pick up Intimidation down the line. Thunderclap was chosen based on the fact that when Ergo comes out, one of his powers is a point blank area of effect ability. Expeditious Retreat was chosen based on the fact that the character comes from an action fighting game and moving fast is part of the deal. I also took a shield as the Faction Agent gear had enough money to buy one. It's a bit off what the inspiring character used, but okay.

Reasoning: I took Primal Savagery for melee damage as, without the benefit of Pact of the Blade, her damage with weapons will be limited and this gives her more melee damage. War Caster is a good Feat for a melee warlock. I might actually build this with a lot of Blast Invocations as that makes sense with the character being based on a character that uses a lot of different variations of "blast it". Vicious Mockery I chose on a whim. The character lost their name as part of their pact. Everyone she has ever known, herself included, has forgotten her name, as if it never existed. So I wondered at the image of if she were to speak her name, would it be a brief moment of audible nothing that screws with those that hear it? Also, while The Bearer isn't that communicative, Ergo loves to talk and he has a history of gathering followers even if he's abrasive, so that's why I picked Beguiling Influence. Eldritch Sight is based on how she can see power ups and how Ergo lets her see wards and such.I'm also assuming that within 4 levels she's picked up breastplate. I know the video game character isn't shown wearing that, and I could do that but it doesn't really matter too much. I'm taking some liberties already. Guidance I've seen to be very useful in making skill rolls for yourself or others.

Reasoning: I took Otherworldly Leap due to the height of her jumps she attains in the game. Vampiric Touch sort of replicates the idea of how defeating an enemy regains you hit points (though the Hexblade's Curse also does this a bit). The character's blasts and attacks in the video game do significant knockback, hence Repelling Blast. Staggering Step represents the heavy melee abilities and Shadow of Moil looks like something that might work as fluffing the temporary transformation into Ergo. Far Step is just a really good movement spell.

Reasoning: I mostly went more with improvements to mobility and damage. Maddening Darkness felt like a good Arcanum choice because...well, just look at the image above. Crown of Stars sounds like one of the attack modes from the first boss, who apparently used to be The Bearer's teacher. Armor of Agathys is good for survivability.

Reasoning: I haven't really played the game enough to know what powers you get at upper levels, and haven't investigated the skill tree much yet. So I took a little bit of information gathering and then Wall of Light. Such a wall is sort of similar to these barriers with seals that shoot at you (Wall of Force would probably be more accurate though). Trickster's Escape allows the casting of Freedom of Movement, and Foresight sort of feels like a good way to represent save-scumming. Lastly, I improved Constitution for better Concentration and more HP
